The 41st annual picnic will take place at the Fort Worth Stockyards ‘North Forty’ on Friday, July 4 in Fort Worth, Texas. Nelson began hosting the picnic in 1973 in Dripping Springs, Texas, and it quickly became an annual Texas staple.
