Sam Hunt continues to amaze. The country newcomer sold out 15 markets of his first-ever headlining tour within just minutes of going on sale.

The singer’s Lipstick Graffiti Tour is set to begin in January 2015 and run through April. Tickets went on sale Friday (Nov. 14), and within minutes — and in some cases, seconds — shows in various markets had sold out. In response to the overwhelming demand, Sam Hunt is looking at larger venues and adding second shows in cities where scheduling permits. Additional dates are still to be announced.

Hunt’s just-released debut album, Montevallo, is the best-selling debut album from a country artist since 2011, and its lead single, “Leave the Night On,” landed at No. 1 on both the Billboard and MediaBase charts and was certified Platinum.

Written by Hunt, Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne, “Leave the Night On” is the lead single off Hunt’s debut album, which he released in late October . While very much a newcomer, Hunt’s single has captivated fans with its bright, genre-blurring sound and achieved impressive sales returns, too, already earning platinum status.

As Hunt told Radio.com in a recent interview, Montevallo took an honest look at the last two years of his life. One song, “Single for the Summer,” was so honest that Hunt almost didn’t record it, afraid people would mix him up with the unlikeable character of the song. “But, I think the redeeming quality is that the voice in the song is being very honest,” he said of why he reconsidered. “As a writer you have to stick to your guns and be honest and be willing to be vulnerable if you want to connect in the best way with the listener.”
