Alan Jackson has released a brand-new song, “Jim and Jack and Hank,” from his upcoming new album, Angels and Alcohol, which will be released on July 17.

Alan Jackson is teasing his fans with a release from his upcoming album Angels and Alcohol titled “Jim and Jack and Hank”. The song might be the first country tune to mention the elusive female tool, the flat iron, and the effect is pretty funny:

Take your string bikinis, your apple martinis / Take what’s left there in the bank / Take your flat iron and your curlers, your sparkling water / And that damn perfume I never liked / Take your black Mercedes, that stuff for ladies / To me, you’re just a total blank / Go on and leave me, baby / I don’t need you / I got Jim and Jack and Hank.”

Alan Jackson wrote the song himself, as he has done for many of his hits.

“I’ve been doing that for a few years now,” Jackson tells Billboard.

“When I got started on Music Row, I would write with different writers. Then, once my career took off, I was gone all the time — playing a couple hundred shows a year. You weren’t home long enough to wash your clothes. I ended up writing a lot by myself, and it just kind of stayed that way.”

Jackson’s exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, Alan Jackson: 25 Years of Keepin’ It Country, wraps up on Sunday (June 21).

“I used to think if you could have a hit or two and your career lasts three or four years, you’re very lucky. I never thought I’d have a career that lasts 25 years and is still goin’ — I didn’t imagine all this could happen,” Jackson says. “I hope my fans are enjoying the exhibit.”
