Luke Bryan has been having a record breaking career. If you haven’t heard, his album Crash My Party went double platinum, and yielded six consecutive number ones. He’s been touring constantly and performed for over 1.7 million fans in 2014 alone.
With this record breaking success, Luke was recently named the recipient of the ACM Honors Gene Weed Achievement Award. The award acknowledges unprecedented, unique and outstanding individual achievement in country music.
The ACM Honors ceremony took place on September 1st and was hosted by the charismatic Jake Owen. This was the ninth annual ceremony, and was a great night that honored many special achievements in country music.

Along with the awards, the night included performances by some of the biggest names in country music like Jason Aldean, Miranda Lambert, and Restless Heart. Other award winners were Loretta Lynn, Alabama, and Eric Church, to name a few.
As the ninth winner of the Gene Weed Achievement Award, Luke joins the likes of country peers Carrie Underwood, George Strait, Garth Brooks, George Burns, Jeff Foxworthy, Willie Nelson, and Blake Shelton. Like these others, he’s certainly had a remarkable career, and there’s no end in sight.
