Georgia native Luke Bryan has officially announced that his duet with Little Big Town‘s Karen Fairchild dubbed “Home Alone Tonight” will be his third single off of his Kill The Lights album. The song’s lyrics point towards a mutual need for post-breakup revenge rather than a true romance.
So put your drink down and throw your camera up
Flip it around and snap a payback picture
Send it to my ex, I’ll send it to my ex
And send ‘em both a text saying we ain’t we ain’t going home alone tonight
A country love song for a digital world, eh? The duo will debut the song at the 2015 American Music Awards on Nov. 22nd at 7 PM CT on ABC. This special occasion will mark the first time Karen Fairchild performs at the AMAs without the company of her Little Big Town bandmates. As we all remember, Luke Bryan performed his hit single “That’s My Kind of Night” on the AMA stage back in 2013.
To build excitement for the show, the American Music Awards has partnered with Twitter to launch custom Twitter emojis for all performers. Fans can activate the special Twitter emojis by Tweeting the hashtags— like above— from now through the end of the show’s broadcast.
Luke is a finalist for the American Music Awards Artist of the Year. Don’t forget to vote EVERYDAY through 11/19. http://ama.votenow.tv/
