Lauren Alaina has a brand new song called "History" that will be featured all over ESPN this fall. Check out the story behind the new song and listen to it HERE!
Lauren Alaina recently sat down with songwriters Jesse Frasure and Emily Weisband to write a new song specifically for ESPN. The worldwide sports network was looking for music to include on all platforms, for the coming college football season.
The resulting track is an inspiring song entitled “History.” With lyrics based in overcoming challenges, striving for success, and of course “making history,” the song definitely lends itself to college football.
When asked about the new song, Lauren said “for a southern girl, college football is everything. I am so pumped to have my song used for ESPN’s college football coverage.” She went on to say, in her signature sense of humor, “thank you ESPN for giving me something to make my boyfriend, dad, and brother think I’m that much cooler!”

The production style on “History” is obviously very new age, and leans heavily on electronic drums. The track has extensive vocal stylings by Lauren as well as gang vocals that help put the listener inside a college football huddle.
