Lady Antebellum takes a major departure for their normal musical output! Check out the amazing "Something Better" by Audien ft. Lady Antebellum lyric video.
Lady Antebellum took an interesting creative turn when they joined forces with talented EDM artist Audien (aka Nate Rathbun) to produce “Something Better,” a beat-rich tune that certainly makes you want to bust a move.
When commenting on the collaboration, both Rathbun and Lady Antebellum‘s Charles Kelley speak to an envelope-pushing vision. “With ‘Something Better’ I wanted to push boundaries,” Rathbun explained. “The song lends itself perfectly to call and response vocals and anthemic harmonies. Lady Antebellum aren’t just some of the best voices in country music, but in overall music. It was a shot in the dark, but fortunately they felt as passionately about the song’s uplifting theme as I did. The result is simply my favorite thing I’ve ever done.”
Kelley chimed in, saying, “Working with someone like Audien puts us a little outside of our comfort zone, but as a band, we’ve always been up for trying different things. The first time we heard the song we knew we wanted to be part of it. We were immediately drawn to its great melody and powerful lyric.”

Lady Antebellum‘s last Wheels Up Tour stop is slated for October 3rd; after that, they will be on hiatus.
“We’re going to step away for a little while,” Kelley says. “As a band, we’ve talked about wanting to get off the hamster wheel for a little bit and let the fans miss us for a second. We want to spend some time to write a record like we did for our first record. But it’s always been go, go, go, so we’ll try to get re-inspired a little bit.”
Artists experimenting with different sounds is nothing new and can definitely lead to some fresh and exciting new musical possibilities. We can all look forward to Lady Antebellum‘s future projects!
