Kip Moore is slowly rolling out his upcoming album Wild Ones, and today he released an epic new song called “Magic” that you have to listen to.
“Magic” is track number four on Wild Ones and like all the others, Kip had a large hand in the songwriting. The new love song paints a picture of a fairy tale love that seems like magic, which Kip doesn’t fully believe in. By the end of the song, he’s coming around to the idea of this magical love and wanting it to stick around.
Kip had this to say about the writing of the song… “I kind of got to thinking about the way love is constantly described on the radio as this fairytale and how that just isn’t real, I’ve never really believed anybody who’s singing about that stuff—that’s where the opening lines ‘I never believed in fairy tales / Even when I was a kid / It sounded like another trick / To put us all to bed’ come from—and I want to believe what I’m hearing and singing about.”
“So we started with that concept, and we spun it to where I’m finally feeling it, that magic, and wanting to believe it’s real, and not slip away.”
