The “Rising Star” honor recognizes an “artist whose success on the Billboard charts and talent demonstrate a clear path to success.” There’s no doubt Kelsea is very deserving of this honor and she is of course very excited.

The ceremony will be held on December 11th at Billboard’s Women in Music event. The event will honor many other women in music as well, including Missy Elliot, Lana Del Ray, Demi Lovato, Brittany Howard, Loretta Lynn, Tori Kelly, Selena Gomez, and Lady Gaga as Woman of the Year. The annual event will be aired on Lifetime and should include some epic performances that will definitely pop up on your news feed.
