Pageant Material has thirteen songs, plus one hidden bonus track titled “Are You Sure,” a duet with Willie Nelson. All fourteen songs are very well written and paint great pictures for the listener. The sound is minimalistic with a retro country, storyteller vibe. Her candid personality and fun delivery resonates with fans just like her first album Same Trailer Different Park.
One day after the release, Kacey took to Facebook to announce her coming tour as well. Her first tour with Pageant Material released will be known as The Kacey Musgraves Country & Western Rhinestone Revue. With a classic country style including neon cacti and light-up boots, the show is sure to be a unique experience.
