Nobody can deny that Jason Aldean‘s career is on fire right now. Fresh off the success of his most recent single, “Burnin’ It Down”, Aldean promises that Old Boots, New Dirt will deliver the smoking hot ride that his fans want.
“I wanted to be able to do whatever it was, whether it be a big up-tempo or a ballad or a hip-hop thing or a pop ballad,” Aldean said. “We’ve done all that stuff and I think we’ve sort of put ourselves in a position where we can branch out and sorta go in a direction where people don’t go and radio’s going to allow us to give it a chance really. And I think that’s really all you can hope for. I don’t think fans are shocked when we do things like that anymore.” (FoxNews)
Jason Aldean performed “Just Gettin’ Started,” the lead-off track from his sixth studio LP, on The Jimmy Kimmel Live Show in September.
According to Rolling Stone, the lead off track “Just Gettin’ Started” is “a more rock-oriented song than the R&B-influenced “Burnin’ It Down,” “Just Gettin’ Started” nonetheless features some of the hip-hop sounds that Aldean has come to incorporate into his music. At times, the tempo of the song, written by Chris DeStefano, Rhett Akins and Ashley Gorley, echoes Aldean’s mega-hit “Dirt Road Anthem.”
The new album promises to be equal parts rock, country, with a touch of R&B. Fans will discover for themselves this album’s platinum potential when they get their hands on it!
