Crooner Eric Paslay shows us his fun side with "High Class." View the new lyric video for the single here.
Fresh new party anthem “High Class” has been tapped as Eric Paslay‘s first single from his untitled upcoming album. View the quirky vintage-inspired lyric video below.
This vibrant and carefree tune definitely strays from Paslay’s moody Top 15 hit, “She Don’t Love You (She’s Just Lonely)” and the uplifting “Deep As It Is Wide.” The talented singer-songwriter from Texas continues to prove his ability to move fluidly between deep emotional territory and much lighter fare.
“I’m glad I was taught to never be afraid to write a song. There’s never a stupid line as [long as] it leads to the next one, and sometimes the stupid ones are the best, and everyone will want to sing along,” Paslay explains to New England Country Music. “If you go into a giant room and a certain song is playing, you might make a good decision or a bad decision based on that song. Now that’s a deep thought, but music is a powerful drug.”
Besides recording his own work, Paslay has also had a hand in writing Jake Owen‘s “Barefoot Blue Jean Night,” Eli Young Band’s “Even If It Breaks Your Heart,” Rascal Flatts‘ ”Rewind,” and Love and Theft’s “Angel Eyes.” Needless to say, Paslay knows how to crank out the hits and captivate the attention of country music fans.
Catch Eric Paslay on the road this autumn as Chris Young‘s I’m Comin’ Over World Tour’s opening act.
