Have you ever wondered what it takes to put on a big arena show, such as a Eric Church concert? By the numbers it takes 170 tons of equipment, more than 100 crew members working 18-hour days, 14 trucks and 12 buses to make Church’s nine-month-long The Outsiders tour happen.

“This is a very large-scale production,” says tour manager Todd Bunch.
“A short day for us is 18 hours.” Bunch also notes that putting on a show of this scale is, as you might imagine, “very expensive. Just rolling down the road in 14 trucks and 12 buses, the fuel cost alone is amazing.”
CBS This Morning reports that, according to Church’s management company, total cost of the nine-month tour is $19 million.
Eric Church has nothing but respect for his crew. “Those guys are my family,” he said. “They would have my back in any situation, and I would have theirs.”
Church is nominated this year for four ACM Awards and four GRAMMYs.
The GRAMMYs air Sunday, Feb. 8 at 8 p.m. on CBS.
