Dierks Bentley is still riding the wave of his seventh studio album Riser, and his most recent single from the album, the title track, has just hit country radio. The new song is a powerful and emotional ballad that speaks to the toughness of life, and the will that is needed to rise up and succeed.
Dierks has started to let his fans in on the background of this song, and sharing how the emotional title track relates to his own life. Bentley recently told Billboard magazine that this is a “once in a career” song, and in choosing the song he said “I was trying to think about the man I wanted to evolve into being.”
Bentley calls the down-tempo ballad the cornerstone of the album and laid the foundation for the rest of the twelve songs.
