Garth Brooks plans to give fans a "sneak peak" of the new album Man Against Machine.

For 24 hours, starting at midnight on Halloween (Oct. 31), fans can get a sneak peek at the new album from Garth Brooks two weeks before its official release on Nov. 11.

Brooks revealed the news via a note to his email list, explaining how it works — and why he decided to do it through GhostTunes:

“A friend of mine at GhostTunes  asked if we would take a different look at sampling for this new record … he wanted to know if we would speak a little bit on each song as a snippet of the song was playing. Because he asked, we went into studio and tried it. We were all surprised to hear how cool it turned out. Because it was his idea and his ask, I felt it fair to keep this to GhostTunes. Because it is GhostTunes, Halloween seems like the perfect time.”

Brooks announced his partnership with GhostTunes in early September, stating that all his music — from the past and future — will be available on the site. The news was especially exciting to Brooks’ fans because his music had not been available digitally to that point.

“When I decided it was time to ‘go digital,’ I didn’t find an existing way that really fit how I wanted to do it,” Brooks says. “I shared my dream with some amazing minds and together have created something really special — GhostTunes. This is a site that treats music with the utmost respect, where our job every day is to offer music the way the artists want to share it to the listeners who live for and love it. That’s a job I hope I can do every day.”

Man Against Machine will be Brooks’ first full-length studio album since Scarecrow’ in 2001.
