All of country music showed up last night and showed off the newest trends in their genre. Read the full story below.

Last night was a huge night for country music, and Nashville where it resides. It was of course the epic 2015 CMT Music Awards which has surely been showing up in your news feeds. The big night included giving awards to the top music videos of the year, as well as a plethora of amazing performances by today’s biggest stars.

Some of the top award winners included Luke Bryan for Male Video of the Year for “Play it Again,” Lady Antebellum for Group Video of the Year for “Bartender,” Carrie Underwood taking home Video of the Year for “Something in the Water,” and Sam Hunt for Breakthrough Video fo the Year “Leave the Night On.”

The night wasn’t just about the awards though, it was also about envelope pushing performances, by the biggest stars in country today.

Darius Rucker helped get the night started by performing his huge hit “Homegrown Honey” to thousands of fans in the dead center of the Nashville Country scene, Broadway Street. Check out his performance below!

Jake Owen took part in the night performing the title track to his new album Real Life. Owen really blew the crowd away showing off some impressive dance moves, his new short haircut, and a huge stage show that included giant dancing donuts. You must check this out below!

Luke Bryan had a chance to get on stage as well and helped get the crowd revved up with a performance of his new song “Kick Up the Dust.” Watch his video below, which shows his hip-hop style performance.

Perhaps the biggest show of the night had to be Lady Antebellum performing with Zedd, who is a huge name in the electronic dance music world. Lady A starts out performing as usual with their grooving song “Long Stretch of Love.” A few choruses later, the band announces Zedd and starts into a new song “Beautiful Now.” Zedd lights up the audience with a hard hitting dance kick drum and a magnificent light show. The moment felt like magic in the room, and the performance seemed to be breaking new ground for country music. Watch below!
