Charles Kelley recently released this great new music video for his solo song, "The Driver." Watch it here and get the full story behind the song.
Nashville has been buzzing recently about Charles Kelley and his exciting new solo E.P. The Lady Antebeullum vocalist recently announced that he’s pursuing a solo career outside of the group, but reassures fans that Lady A is not breaking up, and will be releasing new music in 2016.
Charles recently released the first single from the new E.P. titled “The Driver.” “The Driver” was co-written by Charles Kelley, Eric Paslay, and Abe Stoklasa. The soulful song puts Kelley’s voice into a different range that is refreshing and beautiful to hear from the dynamic singer.
Kelley took a couple minutes to talk about the background of the song when he stopped by The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Learn the story behind the song below.
Along with Charles Kelley, Dierks Bentley and Eric Paslay both sing a verse on the new song and of course they both show up in the music video as well. The music video was very recently released and shows the three friends performing the song acoustically as well as hanging out playing poker. Watch this awesome collaboration below.
Charles will be hitting the road in 2016 to promote the new venture and plans to play at “down and dirty clubs,” a dream he’s had for a long time. It won’t be anything like the high production value Lady Antebellum shows but should be a great unique show that displays another side of Charles Kelley.
