Carrie Underwood has another hit song on her hands!

Country music powerhouse Carrie Underwood‘s latest album, Storyteller, is set to drop this Friday, October 23rd! The Oklahoma native and wildly successful American Idol alum has gifted fans with another stellar tune. “What I Never Knew I Always Wanted” was inspired by her husband of five years, Mike Fisher, and their 8-month-old son, Isaiah.

I finally found / What I never knew I always wanted / I couldn’t see / I was blind ’til my eyes were opened / Didn’t know there was a hole / Something missing in my soul / ‘Til you filled it up / With your love

“It’s a love song for my boys,” Underwood recently shared with Taste of Country. “Enough people were like, ‘This has to be on the album.’”

We’re certainly glad the track penned by the singer along with Hillary Lindsay and Brett James made the cut!

“I tried to avoid the ‘mommy’ songs, but one managed to find it’s way in there! I’m glad it did, because he’ll always have that,” explained the talented songstress.
