Blake Shelton will reportedly assume the role of Western lawman Wyatt Earp in Ridiculous 6, Adam Sandler’s first film for Netflix, according to the Wrap, an entertainment website.

Looks like Blake Shelton is further exploiting his sense of humor with a future acting role in a new Adam Sandler film. This comes just days after showing his acting chops hosting the Jan. 24 episode of Saturday Night Live.

Shelton is said to be set for Ridiculous 6, which will give a comedic twist to ensemble Westerns like The Magnificent Seven, according to the Wrap.

The eclectic all-star cast will also include Taylor Lautner, Nick Nolte, Steve Buscemi, Rob Schneider, Jon Lovitz, Dan Akroyd, Vanilla Ice, Luke Wilson, Steve Zahn, Danny Trejo, Chris Parnell and Lavell Crawford.

Sandler wrote the screenplay with longtime collaborator Tim Herlihy as the first of four original films he will produce as part of a groundbreaking new deal between his Happy Madison production company and Netflix.

Blake Shelton will reportedly portray Wyatt Earp, a real gunman in the Old West. Vanilla Ice is set to take on the role of Mark Twain.
