Listen to this emotional new song from the soulful supergroup that blew the world away back in 2007. Listen here.

Alison Krauss and Robert Plant have musical chemistry that is clearly something divine. On their first release in 2007, Raising Sand, they created a sound immensely unique and soulfully beautiful that sent a tidal wave of chills down every listener’s back.

The world responded by showering the duo in six Grammy Awards and certifying the album platinum in multiple countries.

After a missed attempt to do it again in 2009, the duo is now proudly back with their first song since. The new song is titled “The Light of Christmas Day” and will be released as the first track on the soundtrack to Love the Coopers.

Love the Coopers is a heartfelt Christmas movie starring John Goodman, Alan Arkin, Ed Helms, Diane Keaton, Amanda Seyfried, and many other household names. “The Light of Christmas Day” showed up recently for the first time on a trailer to the upcoming movie.

Check out the full trailer below and listen to Alison and Roberts duet in the background. All those magical feel-good Christmas emotions are running high, so be ready.

The song clearly has a similar feel and vibe as Raising Sand and the pairing of their voices sounds as good as ever. Their unique sound fits perfectly in a Christmas song and there’s no doubt we’ll be hearing it everywhere we go this holiday season.

No word yet on another official album from the two but lets all keep our fingers crossed. Love The Coopers will be out soon on November 13th, so get your tickets to see this fun new Christmas movie today.
