After three years of anticipation, Kip Moore has finally released his sophomore album Wild Ones. Kip is a songwriter, and one that cares about his craft. He’s spent the last three years working on this album through the ups and downs in his life.
The saying goes that “you can’t rush art,” and Kip clearly did not. The result of the time taken, hard work, and the support of his fans, is a great album that marries amazing production with authentic songwriting. Every great album starts with great songs, and Kip helped write every song on the thirteen track recording.
Listen to Kip talk a little about the album and what inspired him in the writing process below.
A few of the songs really stand out from the rest, like the title track “Wild Ones,” which is a hard grooving and powerful anthem for Kip’s fans. The music video for “Wild Ones,” which was recently released as well, takes you to a bonfire to dance like a wild one. Check out this awesome tribal-inspired video below!
Track three, “Magic,” is a beautifully written song that paints a picture of a fairy tale love and tells the story of coming around to believe in fate. Listen below.
Track ten is of course the recognizable single “I’m to Blame,” which was released to radio back in February. This song is another hard-hitting anthem that’ll make you proud of your honest country roots. Check out the cinematic video for “I’m to Blame” below.
Track thirteen, “Comeback Kid,” is another honest song from Kip that describes a lot of his background and some of the trials he had to overcome. Kip recently released this great acoustic video for the track which you can enjoy below.
The new album has obviously turned out great and Kip is just getting started with the record promotion and spreading the word. He’s recently been on the road with the one and only Dierks Bentley on the epic Sounds of Summer Tour, but starting October eighth in Bethlehem Pennsylvania, Kip will be headlining his very own Wild Ones Tour.
