The 2015 American Music Awards nominee list was made public today! The 43rd annual all-genre encompassing awards show includes four exclusively country music-based categories total: Favorite Album: Country, Favorite Country Male Artist, Favorite Country Female Artist, and Favorite Country Duo/Group.
Versatile country heartthrob Sam Hunt leads the country music artist pack with nominations in the coveted New Artist of the Year, Favorite Male Country Artist, and Favorite Country Album categories.
Georgia native Luke Bryan is the only country artist to be tapped for the highly competitive Artist of the Year category. The superstar entertainer also received a nomination for Favorite Male Country Artist.
Besides Hunt and Bryan, Jason Aldean is also up for the Favorite Male Country Artist distinction, as well as Favorite Country Album.
Florida Georgia Line are nominated for Favorite Country Album and they are also up for Favorite Country Duo/Group, along with the Zac Brown Band and Little Big Town.
Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood, and “Love Me Like You Mean It” singer Kelsea Ballerini will battle it out for the Favorite Female Country Artist award.
