2014 Has Been The Year of the Aldean!!

Jason Aldean celebrates the end of 2014 with the ACC Artist of the Year Award.

When it comes down to numbers, Jason Aldean can’t be beat. The ‘Just Gettin’ Started’ singer won the very first American Country Countdown  Artist of the Year Award on Monday (Dec. 15) night.

“Thank you all for allowing me have a career doing something that I truly, truly love,” Aldean said, clutching his first major Entertainer of the Year-type award.

In addition to the highly successful Burnin’ It Down Tour, Aldean scored No. 1 hits with ‘When She Says Baby’ and ‘Burnin’ It Down,’ the first single from his Old Boots, New Dirt album.

For the longest time, Jason Aldean didn’t have a title for his now-platinum sixth studio album Old Boots, New Dirt. In fact, he and his team kept referring to the release as “No. 6.”

In an interview with Radio.com, Aldean admitted that his first pick for an album title was new single “Just Gettin’ Started,” but the more he considered other tracks on the release things became clearer.

“We had ‘Just Gettin’ Started,’ which I felt like, here we are on our sixth album and I feel like we’re getting warmed up good,” he tells Radio.com. “I felt like that was a fitting title. [Then] we started kicking around Old Boots, New Dirt.

From all aspects of everything in my life at this point, that seemed like a really good title for everything musically, personally. [I’ve] been around for a while but [I’m just] getting a fresh start on a lot of things here.”
